It has been a little over a week since I last found a spot of time to write in this blasted thing that no one reads... ever...
Lets see...
Last Tuesday, Judy Shepard came to campus and spoke about anti-hate. She stressed voting, despite which candidate you should choose, so your voice could be heard. It was a very inspiriational talk. I am glad Morningside and the Sioux City community could pull together and bring her here. Small places have just as much right to hear her message as large places.
Last week I also began my first DJing shifts... went well. I like it a lot... the music is growing on me (not a big fan of some of it). I like taking requests, that I can understand and know the band/song. haha... long story there.
I also started teaching again last tuesday and thursday. the kids are pretty good and seem quite interested. it will be a long 8 weeks... i am not a fan of getting up at 6:45 4 days a week... BLECK!!
I went home over the weekend. I love being home. I have been quite homesick this semester... which is odd, because I normally hate being at my house for extended periods of time. However, I did not want to return on Sunday night. I worked Sat. and Sun... so that was at least something to do. Got my hair cut. Saw John's mom. Got drunk w/ my parents and some family friends... ya know - the usual. haha
this week is midterm - well, supposedly. i only have one test - world religions... friday at 1:45. if you think of it, pray for my good test taking and bullshitting, because i will need it. I also have two projects due in photography... both have been taken, now I just need to develop and print. that is what Tuesday will be used for. Develop in the morning (between 9 and 1:45). Print at night (after 6).
Somewhere between everything, I need to practice piano and revise my Jane Eyre paper to turn in - so I can get an A+...
This weekend I'm off to Iowa City - its Fall Break. No class until Wednesday of next week. WOOHOO! I love extended breaks. Stephy is coming with... we're staying w/ Joe. I am pumped. And all the same, sad, because John is going home... that bastard.
hmm... what else? I can't think... but I need to get working on my stuff... i'm out.. ciao!
