FINALLY! I can update... seemed like every time I actually attempted, the server was overloaded and I was unable. Nevertheless, I am back, in full stress mode.
Thanksgiving break was full of yummy food and paint fumes. Odd combination, I know. However, I spent a huge chunk of my extended weekend helping my parents (well, so to speak, I did everything) get the house finished. I am tired of it not being done. ITS TIME. So, I started in the dining room, since that is perhaps the room that needs the second most help. In 1.5 days, I fixed the walls with that mud stuff, sanded walls, primed and painted walls, painted crown molding and chandelier(?) medallion, painted cieling, and foamed some cracks around the sliding doors. I was proud of myself that I took the initiative to get the main floor done.
My parents made me a deal for this Christmas break - since I have no source of income, they are going to pay me to get projects done around the house each day while they are at work. It excites me to do something that needs to be done and get paid for it. yay. I am impressed, too, that my parents have even ordered the carpeting for the ENTIRE HOUSE, which will be laid Jan. 15 (tentative date, of course). This means all the rooms must be finished. Woot!
Ok... on another note
At the current moment, I should be working on 1 of the 6 papers i have due before Wednesday. This one is due tomorrow - thus the need to start and finish it tonight before heading to bed. Of course, you may inquire why I waited until 11:30pm to start... the answer, my friend, is that I worked 5-6, had ambassador dinner at Chars 6-7, went to practice piano (!) 7-8, photo lab from 8-11... I got back and EVERYONE in the apartment was asleep. So, i am in the kitchen watching tv and procrastinating my paper. Go figure.
Hmm. well... these next 1.5 weeks will be FUCKING TERRIBLE!!!! Weesha and I are spending our Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday doing homework. Saturday night will be left for Roomie Fun and Drunk Night. I'm sure it will be well needed. This weekend alone I have to 1- write 5 more papers (all over 5 pages), 2- study for a test, 3- get my playlist done, 4- photography final project (print and mat)... PUKE.
Finals will surely kick my ass. I'm shooting for a nice GPA - 3.5 or above. I am pretty sure I will have an A in photography, A-/B+ in World Religions, A/A- in Women and Lit, and probably A-/B+ in Psych, politics and law. Media practicum will be a sure fire A. Piano is up in the air.. i'm going to shoot for a B... I dunno
Well, a hottie from my Religions class is coming over shortly to work on this paper with me. I should probably change back into my clothes and not my PJs... chaito!
