Thank you Diaryland for coming back. I feel much more connected to myself now that I can write and write and write to my heart's content.
Too bad I have nothing of real interest to write. HA
So... let me tell you a little somethin about my weekend. It was strangely interesting. and i mean that in the best terms, too.
First off, one must recognize my huge love for scary movies, and especially those of Stephen King genre. But, to my complete and total surprise, my weekend was made perfect by the "Killer Thrillers" on AMC on Saturday. Oh yes, people. We're talking "The Omen," "Halloween" 4, 5 and Resurrection. THen, to top off my Saturday - The Tommyknockers, which lead into my Sunday of good Stephen King movies (Storm of the Century, Riding the Bullet). I mean, honestly, could that have been any better? Maybe you answer "yes" to that question, but I tell you this - my movie weekend was only made better by the showing of the best film ever created for television. Can you guess which? I bet not...
People, we're talking about "The Face on the Milk Carton". No good movie weekend is complete without this oh-so-fantastic ode to Lifetime movies. Man, i was so excited to see that it was on, I jumped up and attacked my roommate with excitement. I would like to think I was an overly excited puppy jumpin on its master.
I honestly hope that my pure sarcasm was evident during the whole "Face on the Milk Carton" thing. In reality, that movie sucks, and i hate it and all that it is meant to be. Stupid movie.

Ah, my friends - back to the ol' weekendaroo. Saturday night, while entranced with Halloween Resurrection, I received a phone call from my Spring Break buddy - she tells me "You have 5 minutes to put on warm clothes and get outside." click. nothing else. I am scared, so Amy and I put on some nice warm attire and head out. There we see our two cohorts... the mission: dumpster diving for pop/beer cans/bottles. Oh yes. I totally went around Sioux City like a poor bum on the street - collecting any and all cans/bottles I could find. All in all, we collected enought to add up at $12.15. If i do my math correctly, that is 243 cans/bottles. How exciting :) This is added to our SB fund, in which now we have almost $40 for gas and/or food. YAY.

Sunday was a lazy day. Slept until 12:30. Had to run to the radio station at 3:30. Otherwise, attempted homework and watched movies and television shows. Currently, I am wishing I had studied for a quiz tomorrow, but I have the morning hour between the Newscast and my radio shift. So, I'll get something done - or so i hope. Ha.

Well, i ought to return to my book on monoculturalism and the Nike culture and overswooshification. Oh yes... sounds fun. Too bad I am in love with Nike. Does this make me a hipocrite?
