Ahhh...
I moved back to school and it sure sucks to not have air conditioning. But I've got me a nice fan to cool down, so I can't complain too much. Though I am hoping for an unseasonably cool summer - hope with me.
The apartment is small and quaint. Good enough for Buddy and me. We basically have two rooms - kitchen/living area and bedroom. Of course, the bathroom and nice big closet. Its all good... good enough for two-ish months of living.
The best part is having our own kitchen, though. I love being able to make meals on a stove instead of using a microwave. BUt - we don't have a microwave... its down the hall - a "communal" microwave. Sucks... but my 'rents found our old camping microwave, so I'm going to grab it for the apt when I'm home next weekend.
Got us a new fridge yesterday... its very large, clean, and has a REAL freezer! Before we had this ghetto, 1960s fridge that didn't even close properly. Inside, an ice box to put things that needed freezin. Now, its two compartments - big enough for all our food.
I hate being back, though... I still don't feel like I should have to start working. Thankfully, though, i make my own hours at the station. I can go in whenever I want to work or do shifts. THANK JESUS for flexibility. This means I can sleep in late... bumm around... choose to go to the station or not... its nice.
The only thing our apt is lacking would be furniture. We have nothing. Basically we just have two desk chairs and my lawn chair. Oh well...
Sad news, though. My Peruvian pirated dvds do not work in any dvd players. I'm going to try a computer... but I'll be sad if those movies never work.
Greek fest this weekend! Buddy and I are gonna check it out. Greek food + beer garden + decent weather = a great Saturday. FOllowing a fun day will be a fun wedding/reception for my lil sister.
By the way, congratulations Jess on your engagement!!!!! I can't wait to see ya this summer! We're only 20 minutes apart, I hope we meet up ;)
Speaking of meeting up - Mitch and I have been talking a lot lately. I hope to make it up to Minneapolis to visit him... and he is gonna try come see me. It'll be great to FINALLY spend lots of time with him. And all the amazing sex makes it great, too.
On a different subject, i desperately need a job. NO ONE IN THE WORLD IS HIRING!!!! Its frustrating, man. I seriously need some money to pay for the house this year. Not to mention a possible trip to England/Germany next summer for Wimbeldon and World Cup. GAH! Even all the corners are full.... :)
Well, I am going to continue watching Dr. Phil. Then watch Oprah. Then the Simpsons. Then go work out and swim. Then be a bum.
