2006-03-20 - 10:16 a.m. Soo.... I am extremely tired. I definitely have a case of the Mondays. I stayed up until at least 3:30am today working on a paper that was due at 9:15. I woke up around 7:30 with the intention of coming to school around 8:30, printing the paper off and studying for my test. Well... I allotted enough time thanks to the ironic first day of spring (damn snow). It really didn't affect anything since it was quite warm out when I left. I figured I would have adequate time to study for my test once my paper was printed. But I was mistaken. Today of all days is when the printer decides to run out of ink. And not just affecting a few pages, but the entire paper. I think I maybe salvaged 6 pages of the 20 or so. So... I had to ask the department secretary for a replacement cartridge. It took us a long time to find the stupid motherfucker, but then the printer wouldn't accept the ink. I was basically freaking out. Not only was I on the verge of being late for class, but I still hadn't studied! To make a long story short, we got the printer figured out, my paper printed off beautifully, but stapling the stupid motherfucker is another story. I have stapled some 20 pages together in one staple before. I don't know why Mr. Stapler didn't want to do its job today. I believe I wasted no less than 8 staples in the attempt to get the paper ready. So... it was finally 9:10, and my test started in five minutes... and I still had to walk over to the music building. I knew I was royally screwed. And I was. I do believe that is the WORST I have ever done on a test. EVER. I knew a grand total of 4 questions. Now, mind you... those 4 questions average about 3 points. Out of 100 possible points... that's a whopping F! Unless I managed to guess correctly on a few other questions, which I would assume is a fair guess. Some of the true/false and multiple choice questions were obvious - but I could have been mistaken. So... now I will receive my grade for the test on Wednesday, which means I'll have a craptacular day. In other news, I managed to squeak out 9.5 hours at work this week. Don't know what crawled up my manager's ass, but I was thankful. Now I hope we don't close early tomorrow night so I can finish my remaining 4 hours for the week. Fizzy comes to town this weekend! I am really excited! I haven't seen her in ages - and I miss her TONS. I'm not exactly sure what the plan is, but fun is scheduled somewhere. I am also in the midst of helping Heistad choose the staff for next year. There are a few people he wants to apply, but has yet to receive an application. Two of those four happen to be current staffers who are at a music festival (South by Southwest). Until those two send in their apps, the decision process is made difficult. Especially depending upon the jobs each of those people wants to have. Well, I had better make my way over to work. Need as much money as I can make!
