2006-05-30 - 6:20 p.m. I just realized today that it is almost June. Weird. I leave for Vermont in about one month. I have to check in June 30, and start on July 3. This will be my most difficult challenge of my life to date. But I am hoping and praying I will excell and do amazingly, and it works out for the best. I hope I don't regret spending $7K for less than two months. And I pray this summer will be useful in getting into grad school for Fall 2007. Until I leave, however, I plan to be a bum. That's right. I have no job. Sears fucked me over once again. I have no desire to get a job for the next month, either. I plan to read a lot of books, do a lot of radio shifts, and start moving my shit back to CB where I'll most likely reside for the next year. As far as what I will be doing between Fall 2006 and Fall 2007, I have applied for a job with Iowa Legal Aid. There are 11 locations throughout the state of Iowa... and I of course wrote down that I preferred to work either in CB or in SIoux City. Of course... the job barely pays anything (maybe 15K), but if I live at home, that'll basically go into my bank account. Plus, it works out GREAT that I'll only be required to work between 9-12 months (or until my 1700 hours of work are finished). Honestly, it really is a great job - I'll be in charge of Public Relations, and have to be fluent in Spanish. could I be more perfect for this job? Of course, I think if I get this job, I'll also need a part-time job on the side. But thats something I can think about in a few months. Everyone cross your fingers that this legal aid bit works out in my favor. Or else that I find another job :) Time to watch some tele. Chao
